About the position

This position involves performing routine maintenance and repair work for grounds, buildings, and related utilities in various national parks. The role includes custodial services, ensuring cleanliness and functionality of public restrooms, and maintaining the overall appearance and safety of park facilities. The job is seasonal, typically from April/May to October/November, and requires flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance of park grounds and facilities.
  • Conduct repairs to buildings and structures as needed.
  • Ensure adequate supplies in public restrooms and maintain cleanliness.
  • Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Assist in the assembly, installation, and repair of park utilities and structures.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old or 16 years old with specific educational qualifications.
  • Ability to perform work without more than normal supervision.
  • Knowledge of equipment assembly, installation, and repair practices.
  • Ability to safely use and maintain tools and equipment.

Nice-to-haves
