About the position

The Maintenance Worker at CURA, Inc. is responsible for the upkeep and repair of facilities, ensuring a safe and functional environment for staff and clients. This role requires a self-directed individual capable of managing multiple tasks, performing routine maintenance, and responding to emergencies as needed. The position involves both physical and administrative duties, including facility repairs, vehicle maintenance, and compliance with agency policies.

Responsibilities

• Comply with the Agency's Code of Ethics and policies.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facilities, including painting, fixing doors and locks, and minor electrical and plumbing work.
• Ensure all facility grounds are clean and well-maintained.
• Conduct daily checks on boilers and furnaces for proper functioning.
• Coordinate snow shoveling during winter months.
• Maintain and inspect company vehicles, ensuring they are clean and in working condition.
• Complete monthly generator inspections and recycle materials appropriately.
• Pick up correspondence from the post office and manage gas receipts for the fiscal department.
• Be available 24/7 for emergencies and prompt responses as needed.
• Complete required training and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in facilities maintenance.
• Valid NJ Driver's License with a clean record.
• Computer literacy to operate email and internet.
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and co-workers.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in minor electrical and plumbing work.
• Ability to work independently and under supervision.
• Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
