About the position

The Maintenance Worker position at the Department of Commerce's Boulder Facilities Maintenance Division involves conducting preventive maintenance and repairs on various facilities and grounds. The role requires operating heavy equipment, maintaining landscapes, and participating in snow removal activities. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary range.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on buildings, grounds, structures, fixtures, and utilities.
• Maintain the landscape by mowing lawns, line trimming, and performing minor irrigation repairs.
• Operate heavy equipment such as tractors and loaders and perform vehicle operator checks.
• Serve on the snow removal team, removing snow and ice from roads, sidewalks, and parking areas.
• Work outdoors in all types of weather conditions for the majority of tasks.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Possession of a valid state-issued driver's license is mandatory.
• Ability to perform Maintenance Worker duties with minimal supervision.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and maintaining exterior grounds.
