About the position
Quantum Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to perform essential upkeep tasks, including repairs and maintenance of equipment and building systems. The role requires a solid technical background, particularly in plumbing and electrical systems, to ensure all facilities are functional and safe.
Responsibilities
- Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks and filling gaps on walls.
- Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues.
- Apply basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Repair equipment, including electrical beds.
- Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs.
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems, including ventilation.
- Check functionality of safety systems, such as fire alarms.
- Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations.
- Report to the Director of Environmental Services or maintenance manager regarding issues.
Requirements
- Experience in maintenance, electrical, and plumbing.
- Solid technical knowledge in building systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of Fire Safety Codes, NYS and Federal regulations for nursing homes/healthcare facilities.
