Equus Management Group is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maintenance Person to join our team at the Sierra Canyon location in Reno, NV. This full-time position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, with a work schedule from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a cheerful and optimistic attitude. The Maintenance Person will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the Sierra Canyon Association (SCA) lodge and its surrounding areas are well-maintained and operational. This includes routine maintenance of the lodge, which encompasses the Fitness Room, Locker Rooms, Restrooms, Kitchen, and other communal spaces. The role also involves setting up and storing furniture and equipment for community activities and meetings, as well as performing clerical and administrative tasks as needed during the absence of other staff members. The Maintenance Person will be the first to arrive at the lodge each day, opening the facility and preparing for daily operations. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for various maintenance duties, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical repairs, and general upkeep of the property. The role also involves conducting regular inspections to identify any maintenance needs and ensuring that all safety standards are met. The Maintenance Person will work closely with third-party contractors and report directly to the on-site Manager, providing updates on completed tasks and any issues that arise. In addition to maintenance responsibilities, the candidate will also oversee the operations of the Fitness Room, ensuring that equipment is well-maintained and reporting any major issues to the Community Manager. Seasonal tasks may include snow removal, pool maintenance, and other outdoor responsibilities. The Maintenance Person will be expected to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while interacting with residents, staff, and vendors, fostering a positive community environment.
