About the position
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Person to join our team, responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on apartments, troubleshooting electrical issues, and conducting stick welding and carpentry repairs as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical work, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on apartments
- Troubleshoot electrical issues
- Utilize tools to diagnose problems accurately
- Conduct stick welding and carpentry repairs as needed
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during maintenance tasks
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems as required
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff, prioritizing urgent issues
Requirements
- Proven experience in industrial maintenance, with a strong understanding of HVAC
- Familiarity with high voltage, low voltage, HVAC, and plumbing is preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Previous experience as a maintenance worker or in a similar role is a plus
- Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
Nice-to-haves
- Property maintenance experience (1 year preferred)
- Mechanical knowledge (1 year preferred)
- Willingness to travel (25% preferred)
