About the position

The Maintenance Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel, contributing to an excellent guest experience. This part-time position involves performing repairs, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safety and cleanliness throughout the hotel premises. The representative will also engage with guests and assist in various maintenance tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace items around the hotel and refurbish items in guest rooms.
• Organize supplies and ensure equipment is ready for the next day.
• Follow high safety standards and report any incidents or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
• Take responsibility for the safety and cleanliness of areas inside and outside the hotel, including the car park and pool.
• Monitor and follow the preventative maintenance calendar to keep everything working efficiently.
• Provide friendly assistance to guests and maintain a welcoming demeanor.
• Communicate with the supervisor about low running supplies and other maintenance needs.
• Maintain a professional appearance in uniform and be ready to take on extra duties as needed.

Requirements

• At least one year of maintenance or repair work experience.
• A high school diploma or related vocational training.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and building management software like Opera.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical systems, PTAC, and preventative maintenance procedures.
• Physical fitness to be on feet most of the day and perform bending and kneeling tasks.
• Compliance with local laws on food handling and serving alcohol, and fluency in the local language.
• Strong communication skills, with a warm and welcoming demeanor.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with programmable logic controllers (1 year preferred).
• Mechanical knowledge (1 year preferred).
