About the position

The Maintenance position at Prince William County Public Schools involves performing essential maintenance tasks across various facilities. The role requires effective communication, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in maintenance duties, ensuring cleanliness in the shop, and performing simple repairs as directed.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with all stakeholders in providing a World-Class education.
• Assist in the maintenance of shop equipment and tools and in the maintenance of cleanliness within the shop.
• Assist higher skill level employees in the performance of repairs and maintenance duties applicable to the shop assigned.
• Perform simple repair and maintenance tasks alone as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to take direction and complete assigned tasks, asking for assistance when necessary.
• Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
• Maintain a professional appearance and awareness of workplace appropriate attire.
• Ability to work assigned hours, including overtime and/or altered schedules as necessary.
