About the position

The Maintenance Director at Kelly Gardens is responsible for overseeing all maintenance, repair, and upkeep activities within the senior living community. This role includes managing maintenance staff, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining effective communication with other managers. The position supports the mission of creating thriving senior care communities and requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to teamwork and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the maintenance team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Develop and implement a building-wide preventative maintenance program for all equipment.
• Oversee the repair and maintenance of the building, equipment, and surrounding grounds.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents, including inspections and necessary repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and manage workplace safety for maintenance staff.
• Foster teamwork and a positive work environment among co-workers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred in business or a related field.
• Proven management experience and ability to manage staff effectively.
• Minimum of three years of experience in maintenance roles preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
