About the position
The Maintenance Technician at United States Cold Storage Inc. is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on various equipment within the facility. This full-time position requires working on weekends, specifically from Friday to Monday, and involves following standard operating procedures to ensure the efficient operation of the warehouse's systems.
Responsibilities
- Complete daily, weekly, and annual preventative maintenance tasks within scheduled time frames.
- Maintain and record all required log sheets and history records.
- Perform routine inspections of all equipment, including building, handling, and refrigeration equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance or operational tasks as assigned.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all maintenance areas, including refrigeration systems.
- Take readings of compressors, evaporators, and receivers.
- Utilize computer control systems for refrigeration equipment.
- Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse and promote safety during operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid Driver's License is required.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, hydraulics, mechanics, and troubleshooting skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Previous warehouse maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
