About the position

The Maitre D at Jack & Charlie's 118 is responsible for overseeing the dining room and front desk operations, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for guests. This role involves planning seatings, recognizing VIP guests, coordinating with servers and management, and assisting in service to create a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth functioning of the dining room and front desk departments.
• Plan seatings and recognize VIP guests and critics.
• Coordinate with servers and management to assist in service.
• Create an environment where guests feel relaxed, welcome, and connected.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in management or as a Maitre D is preferred.
• Strong passion for hosting and guest engagement.
• Ability to engage in natural dialogue with guests and diffuse difficult situations.
• Integrity and quick decision-making skills.
• Clear and articulate communication skills, especially on the telephone.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Resy reservation system.
• Outgoing personality and good work ethic.
