About the position

The Major Project Program Manager for the Joint Strike Fighter Program at NAVFAC Southwest will oversee the execution of multiple projects throughout the planning, design, and construction phases. This role involves managing resources, liaising with contractors, and ensuring effective project management to address housing and facility sustainment issues.

Responsibilities

  • Develop point papers, briefs, and related documents to convey facilities programs and project updates.
  • Act as a liaison between the organization and contractors for facilities projects.
  • Manage the planning process of special projects and military construction (MILCON) projects.
  • Identify resources needed to support various levels of program operations.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level.
  • Experience in facilities planning, construction, business, and financial management.
  • Ability to advise professionals in construction, field engineering, environmental planning, and contract administration.
  • Experience in identifying and analyzing complex project management issues and developing innovative solutions.
  • Ability to create complex briefing materials and documents for decision-making.
