About the position

The Majors Account Executive at Trellix is responsible for cultivating new account relationships and business opportunities targeting large enterprise accounts within a specified geographic territory. This role involves working closely with a well-resourced team to sell and deploy Trellix's innovative cybersecurity solutions, ultimately contributing to the company's success by meeting and exceeding sales quotas.

Responsibilities

  • Support the business by meeting and exceeding your assigned quota.
  • Build new accounts in your territory, maximizing opportunities for short- and long-term revenue.
  • Develop future sales pipelines through deep account and territory planning.
  • Introduce Trellix's products as the best security solutions for customers.
  • Build relationships within client accounts at every level, engaging with senior decision makers and influencers.
  • Explore multiple technology solutions and alternative product offerings for clients.
  • Provide high-impact presentations, sales conference calls, and technical product demonstrations to showcase Trellix's solutions.
  • Partner with teams such as Product, Engineering, and Sales Operations to close complex networking-security opportunities at the C-level.
  • Understand important financial metrics related to sales goals and pipeline activity.
  • Develop appropriate technical expertise and understand competitors and industry trends.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of combined experience in high technology and/or information security environments.
  • Successful background in selling security-focused software and cloud solutions to large enterprises.
  • Experience as a trusted advisor to executive-level audiences providing complex security-based solutions.
  • Proven customer-centric selling experience aimed at increasing revenues and building lasting value.
  • Direct selling experience that produces new account relationships and drives quota completion.
  • Existing relationships and knowledge of customer challenges and needs.
  • Deep knowledge of networking topologies and technologies used by customers.
  • Experience closing seven-figure deals and exceeding sales quotas.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a multi-tiered, multi-divisional sales organization.
  • Ability to adjust communication style to fit the audience and simplify complex issues.
