About the position

The Make Ready Technician is responsible for preparing residential properties for new occupants by performing maintenance and repair tasks. This role requires a combination of mechanical knowledge, customer service skills, and leadership abilities to ensure high standards of quality and safety in property management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of residential units to identify necessary repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Perform fabrication and welding tasks as needed to ensure structural integrity.
• Execute electrical repairs, including troubleshooting and fixing issues with wiring and fixtures.
• Oversee and participate in residential painting projects to enhance the aesthetic appeal of units.
• Utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory management.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing tenant concerns promptly and professionally.
• Lead and supervise a team of maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring tools and materials are readily available for use.

Requirements

• Proven leadership skills with experience in supervising maintenance teams.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems.
• Proficiency in using tools such as an Ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics.
• Experience in residential painting techniques and practices.
• Familiarity with CMMS software for efficient task management.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on tenant satisfaction.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving capabilities.
