About the position

The Make Ready Technician is responsible for preparing apartments for new residents by ensuring that all aspects of the unit are clean, functional, and ready for move-in. This role involves a variety of maintenance tasks, including repairs and upkeep of the property, while also providing exceptional customer service to residents and management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare apartments for move-in after previous residents vacate.
• Daily upkeep and cleaning of the property's exterior.
• Remove trash and items left by previous residents.
• Repair and prepare walls, doors, wood trim, closets, and cabinets for painting.
• Repair glass items such as windows, mirrors, and light globes.
• Ensure proper operation of appliances including stoves, refrigerators, and HVAC systems.
• Report major repair issues to management before move-in.
• Ensure proper operation of window blinds and door latches.
• Install weather stripping around doors and windows as needed.
• Repair bathroom floor and wall tiles when required.
• Re-key master locks and make keys available for leasing prior to move-in.
• Repair leaking faucets and water pressure lines.

Requirements

• Ability to work well in a team and take direction from supervisors.
• Basic writing and reading skills.
• Commitment to exceptional customer service.
• Some knowledge of plumbing, electrical, general maintenance, and appliance repair preferred.
• Previous multi-family experience requested.
• Valid Driver's License.
