About The Position

As a Make & Ship Operator at Behr Paint Company, you will be responsible for coordinating and transferring finished goods from manufacturing to distribution. This role requires safe operation of forklifts and reach trucks to move and store materials, ensuring that products are efficiently handled and prepared for shipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems; SAP preferred.
  • Physical ability to lift individual paint cans or full cases weighing up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and transfer finished goods from manufacturing to distribution.
  • Safely operate a forklift and/or reach truck to move and store materials.
  • Perform safety checklist for power industrial vehicles (PIV) at the start of each shift.
  • Use a scan gun to direct and coordinate the movement of finished goods.
  • Create the Bill of Lading (BOL) using basic computer skills.
  • Assist in the Receiving Department as needed based on production needs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workstation, including staging and dock areas.

Benefits

  • Starting pay of $20.50/hr with $1/hr increases at 6 months and 1 year of employment.
