About the position

The Malayalam Proofreader / Quality Control Reviewer at Productive Playhouse is responsible for ensuring the quality of transcription services by reviewing completed work both on-site and remotely. This part-time, project-based role requires attention to detail and reliability to meet client quality standards. The position offers flexible hours, allowing native Malayalam speakers to earn extra income while maintaining a commitment to excellence in language services.

Responsibilities

• Review completed work, citing all issues as they pertain to the quality of the work
• Create and report daily quality logs to On-site Team Auditor / OPS Auditing manager
• Maintain clear understanding of the clients guidelines and quality expectations
• Direct project related questions to On-site Team Auditor / OPS Auditing manager
• Report violations of security clean room policies, reporting violations to On-site Team Auditor / OPS Auditing manager
• Suggest opportunities for improvements to On-site Team Auditor / OPS Auditing manager

Requirements

• US work authorization (the company cannot provide sponsorship)
• Able to commute to our office
• 18+ years of age
• Expert in Malayalam (you will be asked to take a language assessment)
• Ability to understand a wide variety of Malayalam-speaking accents and dialects
• Must have previous professional experience working in the specified language

Nice-to-haves

• Formal education at the secondary level in the specified language
• Formal education at the post-secondary level in the specified language
• Masters or Ph.D. studies in Linguistics, Translation Studies, or in the specified language
