About the position
The Mammography Tech position at Baptist Health Hardin Hospital is a part-time role focused on operating radiologic equipment to produce clinical radiographs for diagnostic purposes. The technologist will perform radiographic examinations of the breast under the direction of a Radiologist, ensuring adherence to established standards and practices.
Responsibilities
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce clinical radiographs (X-rays) for diagnostic purposes.
- Perform diagnostic procedures according to established standards and practices.
- Conduct radiographic examinations of the breast as requested by a physician under the direction of the Radiologist.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or higher from an accredited institution recognized by the ARRT.
- Active licensure through the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
- Registered or Registry Eligible by the ARRT.
- Certification in mammography within one year of hire.
Nice-to-haves
- One to three years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) preferred.
- Mammography experience preferred.
- BLS preferred upon hire, required within 90 days of hire.
