About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mammography Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing mammography procedures, ensuring the highest quality of imaging while providing compassionate care to patients. This role is essential in aiding in the early detection and diagnosis of breast diseases, contributing significantly to patient health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography procedures in accordance with established protocols and standards.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of imaging results.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals for diagnostic evaluation.
• Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with patients and staff.
• Operate mammography equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety measures.
• Assist in the training of new staff or students as needed.
• Stay updated on advancements in mammography technology and techniques.

Requirements

• 2 years of current experience as a Mammography Technologist.
• Proficient in mammography techniques and procedures, with experience in a Level II Trauma Center preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to imaging and urgent care settings.
• Strong diagnostic evaluation skills to interpret imaging results accurately.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a supportive environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with nuclear medicine, CT scans, PET scans, and emergency medicine practices is advantageous.
