About the position

The Automation Engineer at Framework IT is responsible for driving innovation in IT automation by designing and implementing automated workflows. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and a proactive mindset to simplify complex processes and enhance workflow strategies. The position is fully remote and emphasizes continuous learning and collaboration within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine automation strategy by collaborating with leadership to establish a roadmap for new automation initiatives.
• Design and implement automated workflows using tools like Rewst, N-Central, and ConnectWise Manage, ensuring consistency through reusable functions.
• Identify manual, repetitive tasks and document detailed process requirements for automation development.
• Conduct comprehensive testing to identify and fix bugs, ensuring reliability and adherence to quality standards.
• Continuously monitor and optimize existing workflows for peak performance and efficiency.
• Create thorough documentation for automations and provide training/support for team members.
• Stay informed about emerging automation technologies and best practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant work experience in Managed Service Provider (MSP) processes and tools.
• Proficiency with PowerShell, Jinja, APIs, and a solid grasp of automation principles; experience with Python is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to break complex challenges into manageable parts.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts and business benefits to diverse audiences.
• Adaptability and enthusiasm for learning and refining processes.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Rewst, N-Central, and ConnectWise Manage tools.
• Certifications in relevant automation technologies.
