About the position

The Managed Services Engineer | Microsoft Support representative is responsible for providing comprehensive support for the client's Microsoft environment, ensuring system stability, security, and performance. This role includes routine maintenance, system upgrades, configuration, vulnerability remediation, and break/fix services for both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure. The specialist will also support various client applications, perform remote installations, and optimize infrastructure operations while adhering to best practices and service-level agreements.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain client environments, including Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Azure Entra ID, SQL, and Exchange.
  • Perform routine system updates, configuration, and patch management to ensure stability, security, and compliance with OEM best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software failures, system recovery, and database failover issues.
  • Install, configure, and support key client applications like Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Salesforce, antivirus software, ERP systems, and financial applications.
  • Analyze and improve infrastructure performance, focusing on critical pain points and implementing best practices.
  • Facilitate remote deployments of client applications using tools like Microsoft Intune/AutoPilot and Active Directory group policies.
  • Manage and execute upgrade processes to ensure platforms meet compliance and feature enhancement requirements.
  • Manage, analyze, and update system policies to ensure optimal environment performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting Microsoft environments (Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Azure, Active Directory, SQL, and Exchange).
  • Strong troubleshooting and system administration skills in on-premises and cloud infrastructures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Intune/AutoPilot, Active Directory Group Policies, and security protocols.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, MCSA, Microsoft 365 Certified) preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and remote work skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • ITIL or CompTIA Network+/Security+ certifications are a plus.
