About the position

As an Associate in the Managed Services team at PwC, you will collaborate with various teams to help clients implement and operate new capabilities, achieve operational efficiencies, and leverage technology. This role involves problem-solving complex business issues from strategy to execution, while adhering to the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

Responsibilities

  • Invite and give in the moment feedback in a constructive manner.
  • Share and collaborate effectively with others.
  • Identify and make suggestions for improvements when problems and/or opportunities arise.
  • Handle, manipulate and analyse data and information responsibly.
  • Follow risk management and compliance procedures.
  • Keep up-to-date with developments in area of specialism.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related role.
  • Proven record of success with software development languages such as Java 8 or Python.
  • Experience with application frameworks like Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
  • Knowledge of Microservices REST API builds and Event Driven Design.
  • Familiarity with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, AKS, EKS.
  • Experience with Kafka and Apache NiFi is highly preferred.
  • Skills in database design, creation, manipulation, and querying of Relational and NoSQL datastores.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a managed services environment providing application support.
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes including incident, request, and problem management.
  • Experience creating Web User Interfaces using recent JavaScript libraries like HTML5, JavaScript, ReactJS, Redux, and CSS.
  • Experience creating native and hybrid mobile apps using Objective C, Swift, Kotlin, Flutter, ReactNative.
  • Understanding of Object Oriented Programming, Multi-threading, and Memory Management.
  • Experience troubleshooting software bugs and performance bottlenecks.
  • Familiarity with defensive coding and static code analysis tools.
  • Experience with version control tools.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills in a professional services environment.
  • Participation in architecture and design discussions.
  • Experience working with Agile Methodologies.
