About the position
The Managed Services Network Infrastructure Engineer will lead the implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting of advanced network and IT infrastructure solutions for clients. This role requires a strong focus on service delivery, utilizing agile methodologies and a deep understanding of various network technologies to ensure client satisfaction and operational excellence. The Engineer will work in a dynamic environment, providing services on a per-hour billing or flat rate monthly basis, while managing a wide array of network devices and technologies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of client systems to identify optimization opportunities and strategize upgrades.
- Deliver agile network services, encompassing in-house, remote, and on-site support.
- Offer extensive technical support and expertise across a diverse range of networking components, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices.
- Lead collaborative efforts with engineering teams to meticulously stage and deploy equipment.
- Orchestrate advanced integration strategies and rigorous testing protocols to guarantee flawless implementation and functionality alignment.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for Managed Services Infrastructure Technicians, providing guidance and mentorship.
- Execute intricate infrastructure installations with precision and attention to detail.
- Implement and validate backup procedures to maintain data integrity.
- Document network configurations and setups with clarity and precision.
- Act as a Tier 2/3 escalation point.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Possession of Cisco certifications such as CCNP and CCIE is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an IT/Managed Services engineer or technician, or equivalent work experience.

- Exceptional communication skills, adept at conveying intricate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- In-depth mastery of cutting-edge IP infrastructure components, spanning network security and cloud-based networking.
- Advanced familiarity with ISP transport technologies and contemporary network architecture approaches.
