About the position

The Management Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert for Transportation Acquisition Command (TAC) procedures and issues within the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support. This role involves managing the Navy's TAC Helpdesk, liaising with various Navy Budget Submitting Offices and transportation commands, and assisting senior analysts with transportation requirement analytical work. The position requires preparation and maintenance of audit documentation and involves a significant amount of data analysis and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the command subject matter expert for TAC procedures and issues.
  • Manage the daily operations of the Navy's TAC Helpdesk.
  • Maintain liaison with Navy Budget Submitting Offices and transportation commands.
  • Assist senior analysts in performing transportation requirement analytical work.
  • Respond to data calls and prepare audit documentation.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • Knowledge of transportation policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Familiarity with NAVSUP WSS, USTRANSCOM, DLA, and other DoD and Navy activity organizations.
  • Ability to conduct studies, analyze findings, and make recommendations for transportation policies.
  • Proficiency in utilizing office automation tools for data analysis and brief preparation.
  • Strong problem-solving and team-building skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree.
