About the position

The Management and Program Analyst (Leadership Development) position at the Department of Defense involves serving as a Deputy Program Manager within the Leadership Development Program (LDP) Division. The role is focused on managing various leadership development programs, including the Executive Leadership Development Program and the Defense Senior Leader Development Program. The incumbent will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating these programs while collaborating with senior leaders and external entities to enhance the effectiveness of leadership development within the Department of Defense.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Deputy Program Manager for the Executive Leadership Development Program (ELDP).
• Plan, organize, and oversee high-profile events such as orientations and graduations.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with senior Defense leaders and external organizations.
• Present complex issues to senior leaders and stakeholders.
• Oversee program assessments and implement continuous improvement processes.
• Identify and champion innovative processes for leadership development.
• Ensure program alignment with DoD human capital strategic plans.

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.
• Experience in managing day-to-day operations of leadership development programs.
• Ability to perform program planning, analysis, and support activities.
• Experience in implementing program management strategies and evaluation methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in federal employment or military service.
• Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation for programs.
