About the position

The Management and Program Analyst (Project Manager) position within the Communications and Liaison Department of the Treasury is responsible for overseeing project management activities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, and facilitating communication between various stakeholders. The role involves preparing action plans, negotiating resource requirements, and establishing systems for project status review and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with managers and executives to define project goals and objectives.
  • Prepare action plans and schedules for project phases, ensuring alignment with Service goals and policies.
  • Negotiate with managers to obtain necessary resources and support for projects.
  • Establish systems to review, control, and report on project status.
  • Plan and coordinate operating methods and procedures for project execution.
  • Direct the development and implementation of employee training related to the project.

Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.
  • Experience with a wide range of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques, both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Knowledge of management and organizational principles applicable to programs and projects.
  • Experience in project management and the ability to evaluate complex projects and identify problem areas.
  • Familiarity with budgeting methods and techniques for preparing analyses and estimates.
  • Strong oral communication skills for presenting findings and negotiating solutions.
