About the position

The Management and Program Analyst position at the Department of the Treasury involves working within the Research, Applied Analytics, and Statistics Division. The role focuses on defining project goals, preparing action plans, negotiating resource requirements, and establishing systems for project status review and control. This position is critical for ensuring that projects align with the Service's objectives and policies.

Responsibilities

• Meet with managers and executives to define overall project goals and objectives.
• Prepare action plans and schedules for various phases of project accomplishment.
• Negotiate with managers to obtain necessary resources and support for projects.
• Establish a system to review, control, and report on project status.
• Plan, coordinate, and establish operating methods and procedures for project missions.
• Direct the development and accomplishment of employee training related to the project.

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service.
• Demonstrated knowledge of analytical and evaluative methods and techniques.
• Knowledge of Federal laws, policies, regulations, and precedents applicable to the Service's programs.
• Ability to communicate findings and negotiate solutions effectively.
• Experience in project management duties and coordination of project objectives.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a similar role within the public or private sector.
• Advanced degree in a relevant field.
