About the position

This position is located within the Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Strategic Management Office with (1) vacancy located in Silver Spring, MD. Responsibilities

  • Administer a training program by participating in the planning of training, provide advice on the development of course materials, prepare training sessions and monitor registration and certificates.
  • Participate in the execution and evaluation of training events, and maintain student survey records (i.e. course evaluations, registrations, schedules, etc.).
  • Apply knowledge of administrative management to the coordination and implementation of a training program.
  • Utilize skill in project management in the preparation and administration of training programs.
  • Oversee, manage, and provide support services to a program for an organization.
  • Serve as an analyst with responsibility for strategic, technical and business operations analysis and assessment efforts.
  • Perform statistical and comparative analysis of program/division providing recommendations to correct adverse trends.
  • Analyze and evaluate the assigned program/Divisions for the effectiveness and efficiency of overall plans, policies and procedures and recommend systemic adjustments to strategies and improvement initiatives.
  • Interpret new, updated, or established policies or regulations to determine and advise on their impact on mission operations and performance management.
  • Coordinate new or modified administrative/program policies, regulations, or objectives to achieve effective operations.
  • Prepare and/or coordinate briefings, special reports, and responses to data requests for use by higher headquarters.
  • Participate in organizational performance reviews, staff visits, program reviews, resource reviews and other internal/external reviews.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.M., if related.
