About the position

This vacancy is for a Management and Program Analyst in the Economic Development Administration within the Department of Commerce. The position is responsible for providing direct programmatic oversight and guidance to regional coalitions and consortia that have been selected for funding under one or more of EDA's National Programs. The analyst will ensure that National Program investments are on track to reach key milestones while monitoring compliance and risk. The role involves engaging policy experts, practitioners, and federal partners to advance the National Programs' learning agendas and help designees and recipients access additional funding opportunities. The analyst will also plan, develop, and manage communication strategies to grow awareness of and support for EDA's National Programs, collaborate with various divisions to provide grant management support, and support ecosystem-building focused on regional economic development in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct programmatic oversight and guidance to regional coalitions and consortia selected for funding under EDA's National Programs.
  • Ensure National Program investments are on track to reach key milestones while monitoring compliance and risk.
  • Engage policy experts, practitioners, and federal partners to advance the National Programs' learning agendas.
  • Plan, develop, and manage communication strategies to grow awareness of and support for EDA's National Programs.
  • Collaborate with EDA Regional Office, Grant Management division, and other staff to provide grant management support.
  • Support ecosystem-building with policy experts, practitioners, and other funders focused on regional economic development.
  • Support coordination across funded clusters to capture best practices in regional economic development.
  • Utilize experience in regional economic development and specific technology industries.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position.
  • Must successfully pass a background investigation.
  • A probationary period may be required.
