About the position

The Management and Program Analyst position at the U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) is a full-performance role focused on providing analytical support and recommendations related to management and administrative services. The analyst will work closely with program personnel to enhance workforce planning and operational procedures, ensuring effective communication of findings and recommendations to key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and analyze data and tracking reports to inform the Director of key metrics and measures related to management and administrative services.
  • Collaborate with program personnel on workforce planning efforts and recommend changes to improve work processes.
  • Initiate actions to implement new or revised program or operational procedures to expedite and facilitate the conduct and fulfillment of DAP.
  • Represent the assigned Director's interests in meetings and conferences with internal and external groups and individuals.
  • Prepare reports and documentation, communicating findings and recommendations to establish and maintain effective contacts.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Candidates required to obtain the necessary security/investigation level.
  • Specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level, including providing policy and procedural recommendations concerning internal administrative operations, organizational structures, or management initiatives.
  • Experience solving issues related to staffing and recruitment or employee development and training.
  • Experience developing standards/policies/procedures involving administrative functions in an organization.
  • Experience providing strategic and business advice to managers on a wide range of policy or program matters, specifically relating to human resources.
