About the position

The Management Program Analyst position at the ATF involves analyzing, evaluating, and improving the efficiency of internal administrative operations within the Office of Intelligence Operations, International Affairs Division. The role focuses on reviewing and recommending improvements in practices and programs, monitoring operational methods, summarizing reports, and providing expert advice to management on program-related issues.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing, evaluating, and recommending improvements in practices, programs, and mission areas within the respective office.
  • Monitoring methods of operation, maintaining statistical data and records, and informing management of any required changes or errors in processes.
  • Summarizing reports, including recommendations for process or procedure revisions and possible solutions to specific problems.
  • Conducting briefings and preparing comprehensive reports to keep managers and executives informed of project plans and progress, as well as communicating findings and recommendations.
  • Providing expert advice to management officials on issues regarding programs in assigned areas for improvement.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
  • Suitable for Federal employment determined by background investigation.
  • Must be registered or exempt from the Selective Service.
  • Meet all qualification requirements applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process.
  • Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service).
  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13, including providing advice and guidance for improvements on policies and making recommendations, researching and interpreting program-related laws, regulations, and procedures, and performing analyst and evaluative studies.
