About the position

The Management and Program Analyst position at the Department of Homeland Security involves developing and maintaining automated dashboards and tools for reporting, providing valuable insights to operational units. This position is part of FEMA's Cadre of On-Call Response/Recovery Employee (CORE) program, focusing on disaster response and recovery efforts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated dashboards and tools for reporting.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of operational data during major disasters.
• Pinpoint trends and areas for enhancement in disaster response operations.
• Compile, classify, and verify statistical data from diverse sources.
• Prepare accurate internal and external documents to disseminate operational information.

Requirements

• One full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal government, including performing data analysis to improve efficiency and decision-making.
• Experience in constructing dashboards with coding languages or visualization applications.
• Ability to analyze complex datasets and effectively communicate conclusions.
• Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.
• Combination of education and experience.
