About the position

The position involves performing a variety of administrative tasks to support agency programs, policies, and procedures. The role requires advanced knowledge and experience to assist managers and staff in daily operations, ensuring effective management of administrative assignments that contribute to organizational activities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and varying administrative tasks in support of agency programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist managers, support staff, and other employees in day-to-day operations.
  • Initiate requests for personnel actions and other documents required for filling vacancies and other personnel actions.
  • Coordinate with the HR office regarding personnel actions and discrepancies.
  • Maintain and update organizational systems for accurate staff levels and employee status.
  • Collect, compile, and format financial information for budget preparation.
  • Modify and maintain automated systems for tracking obligations and expenditures.
  • Initiate or review procurement requests for equipment and other items.
  • Ensure justifications for requested items meet expenditure criteria.
  • Manage and control assigned agency property through periodic inventories.
  • Perform time and attendance duties for a large group of employees with varying schedules.
  • Utilize travel systems to manage travel authorizations and vouchers.
  • Ensure compliance with security guidelines and policies for access credentials.
  • Prepare narrative and statistical reports using various software.

Requirements

  • At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-E or FG/GS-7/8.
  • Experience analyzing information on various programs and preparing reports.
  • Ability to provide guidance and interpretation of administrative, financial, or budget policies.
  • Experience assisting with various analytical studies.
