The Management and Program Assistant (OA) position at the Department of the Treasury involves providing administrative and program support within the Taxpayer Services Division. Responsibilities

  • Identify potential and actual problems and research specific issues.
  • Gather pertinent statistics or information and report findings.
  • Monitor, review, and evaluate operations and interrelationships with other functions regarding workflow and systemic problems.
  • Randomly verify the completeness of specific sets of controls and the accuracy of procedures.
  • Revise procedures and controls as indicated by studies or assigned by analysts.
  • Prepare memoranda, reports, and charts showing findings or recommendations.

Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service, or a Bachelor's degree, or four years of education above high school, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of applicable program policies and procedures to assist in identifying problems and gathering information.
  • Skills of a qualified typist are required.

Nice-to-haves
