About the position

As a management consulting specialist at Abt, you will engage with clients to understand their missions and operations, providing strategic advice on business process improvements and organizational transformation. This role focuses on enhancing organizational performance to positively impact program beneficiaries, requiring a strong interest in business management. The position is part of a cohort program set to begin in the summer of 2025.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate strategic planning and communications across and between internal and external stakeholders
  • Understand and evaluate organizational performance improvement through business management processes
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to implement and monitor policies and programs
  • Use project management skills to complete assigned tasks according to project plans, timelines, budget, and quality standards
  • Assist in quantitative analysis and data-oriented tasks such as financial modeling and performance data analysis
  • Contribute to written deliverables to include drafting memos, reports, meeting read-outs, technical assistance tools, and interview and focus group protocols
  • Participate in business development efforts by contributing to the proposal development process
  • Understand the importance of and have working knowledge of change management practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree + 3 years of relevant experience, or Master's Degree
  • MBA, MPP, MPA, MPH, MEM, MHA is strongly preferred
  • Experience with planning and executing projects, including managing events and workshops
  • Demonstrated experience with strategic planning, communications or facilitation
  • Ability to create and deliver compelling reports and presentations to influence client action
  • Demonstrated experience developing financial models in Excel
  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work deliverables
  • Experience in data analysis and visualization using Excel, Tableau, or PowerBI
  • Project Management, Process Improvement, Communication, or Change Management Certification is desirable
  • US work authorization and residence in the US for the past seven years
  • Previous experience as a consultant is strongly preferred.
