About the position

The Marketing Intern position at Arizona State University's Biodesign Institute is designed to support the Strategic Marketing and Communications efforts of the Knowledge Enterprise. This role involves a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing the marketing strategies through content development for digital and print media, collaboration with various stakeholders, and project management. The intern will engage in writing, interviewing, and research to contribute to the marketing initiatives of the Biodesign Institute.

Responsibilities

  • Content development for public and internal websites, including updating text and writing stories.
  • Write content for brochures, digital signage, banners, and more.
  • Manage content for the production of monthly newsletters.
  • Oversee and proofread recognition output for consistency.
  • Build a content library for Biodesign.
  • Elevate signature Biodesign events through various promotional strategies.
  • Develop a subscriber outreach program.
  • Coordinate client and community requests.
  • Administer assimilation of survey data from faculty and other audiences.
  • Contribute to project management tracking software.
  • Build relationships with Marketing, Knowledge Enterprise, Biodesign Institute, and others at ASU to extend the reach of the Biodesign brand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Experience in writing, editing, and communication with knowledge of proper grammar and spelling.
  • Experience in MS Office and Google Office.
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism with prospects, customers, internal team members, and external collaborators.
  • Evidence of high energy level and comfort performing multifaceted projects alongside day-to-day activities.
  • Resourceful, well organized, highly dependable, efficient, and detail-oriented.
  • Experience in taking direction and working in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management tools.
  • Positive, self-starter attitude with a desire to exceed at every opportunity.
  • Experience in work that requires attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changes quickly and effectively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in marketing or communications roles.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing strategies.
  • Knowledge of content management systems.
