About the position

The Management & Program Analyst (Integration & Interop) at the GS-0343-13 level is responsible for providing analytical support for Command and Control (C2) and information sharing capabilities within the Department of Defense (DoD). This role involves managing working groups, advising leadership on C4/Cyber opportunities, and coordinating with various military and allied organizations to ensure effective integration and interoperability of C2 systems. The analyst will also participate in policy development and provide technical guidance to enhance operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Provides analysis support of C2 and information sharing capability integration.
• Manages J6/DoD sponsored Working Groups and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).
• Advises J6 leadership on C4/Cyber opportunities supporting capability development.
• Coordinates with the Office Secretary Defense Staff, Joint Staff, Service, Agency, Combatant Commanders, and Allied decision makers.
• Advises and presents the U.S. position as the Joint Staff J6 CID representative at meetings.
• Provides continuing capability development and operational effectiveness guidance to J6 Staff.
• Participates in the development of Combatant Command requirements and policy instructions.
• Provides oversight support of cross-divisional actions regarding C2 and information sharing initiatives.
• Participates and/or leads in relevant C2 and information sharing policy setting forums.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Prior work experience on OSD, Joint Staff, Combatant Command/Component staff, Service headquarters, Major Command, or NATO command.
• One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with NATO and Allied mission partners.
• Knowledge of Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) integration and interoperability requirements.
