About the position

The position is within the Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS) division, focusing on managing projects related to hiring activities and human resources initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Meet with managers and executives to define overall project goals and objectives.
  • Prepare action plans and schedules for project phases, ensuring consistency with service goals and policies.
  • Negotiate with managers to obtain necessary resources and support for projects.
  • Establish a system to review, control, and report on project status.
  • Plan and coordinate operating methods and procedures for project accomplishment.
  • Direct the development and accomplishment of employee training related to the project as needed.
  • Monitor project status and adjust work plans accordingly.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of project data and requirements, identifying problem areas and resolutions.

Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience at the GS-12 level in the Federal service, managing projects related to hiring activities.
  • Experience working with advocacy-focused strategic initiatives and programs in Human Resources.
  • Knowledge of automated HR tools such as HR Connect, PeopleTrak, and USA Staffing.
  • Experience applying laws, policies, and regulations applicable to human resource operations.
  • Ability to distill data to generate reports and develop communications for executives and senior leaders.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a federal government setting.
  • Familiarity with IRS policies and procedures.
