About the position

The Management Technician position at Luzerne County Children and Youth is focused on the collection, analysis, and organization of data related to child welfare services. The role is essential for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data submitted by various departments, which is crucial for promoting the safety and well-being of children in the community. The technician will work closely with caseworkers and supervisors to clarify data discrepancies and develop tracking systems for timely data submission.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data submitted by staff from Luzerne County Juvenile Probation and casework and fiscal departments.
• Verify identity details, disability, and demographics on Initial Child forms.
• Review Initial Removal forms for entry and exit dates, reasons for placement, and caretaker demographics.
• Check Ongoing Placement forms for entry and exit dates, relocations, and per diem changes.
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of Review forms regarding hearing timelines.
• Contact caseworkers and supervisors to resolve data discrepancies or missing information.
• Develop a tracking and monitoring system for timely data submission.

Requirements

• Three years of progressively responsible work in recording, compilation, and presentation of system or program-related information.
• Graduation from high school or an equivalent combination of experience and training.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in data analysis or management within a social services context.
• Familiarity with child welfare systems and regulations.
