About the position

The Management Technician position at Luzerne County Children and Youth is a full-time role focused on the collection, analysis, and organization of data related to child welfare services. The technician will work closely with various departments to ensure accurate data reporting and compliance, ultimately promoting the safety and well-being of children in the community. This role requires exceptional attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with caseworkers and supervisors to resolve data discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data submitted by designated staff from Luzerne County Juvenile Probation and casework staff.
• Verify identity details, disability, and other child demographics on initial child forms.
• Review Initial Removal forms for accuracy regarding placement dates and caretaker demographics.
• Analyze ongoing placement forms for entry and exit dates, relocation, and per diem changes.
• Contact caseworkers and supervisors to clarify atypical or questionable data and secure missing information.
• Develop a tracking and monitoring system for timely data submission.

Requirements

• Three years of progressively responsible work in the recording, compilation, and presentation of system or program related information.
• Graduation from high school or an equivalent combination of experience and training.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in data analysis or management within a government or social services context.
• Familiarity with child welfare policies and procedures.
