About the position
The Management Trainee Program at Buckle is designed to cultivate the next generation of retail leaders. As a Management Trainee, you will collaborate closely with the Store Manager to enhance your sales, recruiting, and leadership skills, preparing you for a future role as a Store Manager. This position involves training and motivating team members, performing various sales and operational tasks, and stepping in as Store Manager when needed, all while fostering personal and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly attitude and provide exceptional service.
- Answer questions regarding store merchandise and assist guests in locating items.
- Anticipate guest needs and suggest additional items to enhance their shopping experience.
- Demonstrate product knowledge and share sales education with the team.
- Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, and store policies.
- Achieve personal sales goals and assist teammates in meeting their targets.
- Develop skills to lead and train new teammates in store policies and sales techniques.
- Assist in recruiting and interviewing new team members alongside the Store Manager.
- Create and manage visual displays according to Buckle guidelines.
- Complete store opening and closing procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Adhere to loss prevention policies and maintain store standards.
- Handle emergencies and provide feedback to management regarding store operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred or equivalent retail experience.
- 1-3 months of related retail experience or training.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in retail sales or customer service.
- Familiarity with visual merchandising techniques.
