About the position

The Management Trainee Program at Buckle is designed to cultivate the next generation of leaders in retail and sales. Trainees will work closely with the Store Manager to develop essential skills in sales, recruiting, and leadership, preparing them for future roles as Store Managers. This position involves training and motivating team members, managing various operational tasks, and ensuring excellent customer service while acting as a leader in the store.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a friendly attitude and provide exceptional service.
  • Answer questions regarding store merchandise and assist guests in locating items.
  • Anticipate guest needs and suggest additional items to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Demonstrate product knowledge and share insights with the team.
  • Maintain knowledge of current sales, promotions, and store policies.
  • Achieve personal sales goals and assist teammates in meeting their targets.
  • Recruit, train, and motivate new teammates to uphold store standards.
  • Develop visual merchandising displays according to company guidelines.
  • Complete store opening and closing procedures accurately and efficiently.
  • Handle returns, exchanges, and operational duties in the absence of the Store Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred or equivalent retail experience.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail sales or customer service.
  • Familiarity with visual merchandising techniques.
