About the position

As a Manager 1 in Community Account Sales at Comcast, you will be responsible for leading the Commercial Development Sales unit to maximize sales revenue and achieve corporate objectives. This role involves executing strategies aimed at increasing and retaining commercial accounts, managing contracts for both new and existing accounts, and ensuring quality customer service across all accounts. You will oversee outreach activities and work collaboratively with various internal teams to enhance the effectiveness of the sales organization. Your core responsibilities will include leading the execution of strategies to secure commercial customer growth in privately owned multi-dwelling properties and communities. You will conduct in-depth research and analysis of territories to build and maintain a targeted sales approach, identifying and marketing to small and mid-sized businesses currently served by competitors. Additionally, you will work closely with developers and builders to secure right of entry and easement agreements, manage the launch or renewal of cable television, telephone, and internet services at properties, and acquire necessary agreements for bulk services. In this role, you will also assist in developing the annual budget and oversee the analysis of revenue projections to assess their impact on cable systems and contracts. You will manage outreach initiatives, including presentations and social activities with builders, developers, and the community, while directing and developing field sales supervisors and representatives. Tracking, measuring, and auditing team results will be essential, as will accurately forecasting revenue and unit numbers. You will be expected to develop and coordinate seminars, sales incentive plans, and other strategies to meet business unit objectives, all while exercising independent judgment and discretion in significant matters. Regular attendance, including the ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as necessary, is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of strategies and tactics to improve and secure commercial customer growth in privately owned multi-dwelling properties/communities.
  • Build and maintain a targeted sales approach by conducting in-depth research and analysis of territories.
  • Partner to identify and market to small and mid-sized businesses currently served by competitors.
  • Work with developers and builders to secure right of entry and easement agreements.
  • Manage the launch or renewal of cable television, telephone, and internet services at properties.
  • Acquire right of access agreements and bulk service agreements as applicable.
  • Establish partnerships and coordinate efforts with other internal organizations to ensure maximum effectiveness of the sales organization.
  • Assist in the development of the annual budget and oversee the analysis of revenue projections.
  • Manage outreach initiatives including presentations, meetings, and social activities with builders, developers, and the general community.
  • Direct and develop Supervisors and Representatives in field sales, inside sales, and sales support areas.
  • Track, measure, and audit team results; accurately forecast revenue and unit numbers.
  • Develop, plan, and coordinate seminars, sales incentive plans, and other strategies to achieve business unit objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or a combination of coursework and experience, or extensive related professional experience.
  • 5-7 years of relative work experience.
