About the position

The Manager 1, Small & Medium Business Direct Sales is responsible for managing and monitoring sales efforts directed at small-to-medium business customers. This role aims to maximize sales revenues and ensure that corporate objectives are consistently met. The manager will oversee the staffing and training of the sales team, ensuring they are equipped to effectively sell Comcast's products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor sales of Comcast Ethernet, Internet, Voice, and TV services to small-to-medium business customers.
  • Ensure the competence and continuity of qualified small-to-medium business Account Executives through selection, training, and development.
  • Develop, plan, and coordinate sales promotions and incentives to meet business goals.
  • Monitor employee performance and provide counseling to ensure effectiveness and growth.
  • Prepare, analyze, and maintain records of sales and performance activities relative to business goals.
  • Design and manage the overall territory team structure, coordinating with internal teams for efficiency.
  • Implement best practices to improve performance and success, modeling Comcast's values.
  • Coach and motivate sales representatives to achieve and exceed objectives.
  • Exercise independent judgment in significant matters.
  • Maintain regular attendance and be available for variable schedules, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or a combination of coursework and experience, or extensive related professional experience.
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in sales management.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in managing sales teams in a telecommunications environment.
  • Strong analytical skills for data processing and forecasting.
