About the position

The Senior Marketing Manager for Event Communications at Intuit's Mailchimp is responsible for developing and executing communication strategies for customer and prospect journeys across various marketing channels. This role focuses on enhancing audience engagement and driving attendance at events through a holistic, omni-channel approach. The manager will lead a team, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and utilize data-driven insights to optimize event communication strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop cross-channel campaigns across email, SMS, and in-product communications for in-person and virtual events.
  • Oversee the communication strategy across all events to ensure an optimal end-to-end journey that is repeatable and documented.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to define targets and meet or exceed goals through innovative strategies.
  • Align event communications with overall marketing goals and brand messaging by working with cross-functional teams.
  • Implement test and learn strategies, including A/B tests, to continuously improve event communication and drive attendance.
  • Leverage positioning, messaging, and buyer personas to target segments and generate qualified leads.
  • Optimize event communication strategies to maximize lead acquisition and nurture prospects through the sales funnel.
  • Ensure seamless handoff of leads to the sales team and track the effectiveness of lead generation activities.
  • Implement targeted communication strategies to enhance customer engagement and retention through personalized event experiences.
  • Analyze and understand key market segments to develop compelling messaging and marketing offers.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of event communication campaigns, providing regular reports and insights to stakeholders.
  • Lead a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience leading a team for Lead Generation and/or Events.
  • Proven experience in developing data-driven communication strategies.
  • Strong skills in crafting and executing comprehensive communication strategies across multiple channels.
  • Deep understanding of customer and prospect journeys with the ability to tailor messaging accordingly.
  • Experience in integrating communication efforts across various channels for a seamless customer experience.
  • Ability to use insights and analytics to inform and refine communication strategies.
  • Innovative thinking with a willingness to experiment with new communication approaches and technologies.
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a meticulous approach to planning and executing communication strategies.
