About the position

Intuit is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager (M2) for the Audience organization within Mailchimp. This role focuses on enhancing customer acquisition workflows and managing contact lists through various modules and capabilities. The manager will lead a high-performing team, ensuring operational excellence and stellar user experiences while collaborating cross-functionally with product management and design.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing software engineering team.
• Manage operational excellence to deliver scalable web applications and microservices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to create feasible development plans.
• Lead the evolution of frontend and backend capabilities with an API-first mindset.
• Prioritize and unblock teams to deliver high-value outcomes while managing deadlines.
• Provide constructive feedback and co-create growth plans with team members.
• Identify team blockers and define remediation steps to maintain velocity.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a software engineering manager.
• 8+ years of hands-on software development experience with full stack development.
• Strong experience with microservice architecture and bulk data processing.
• Experience with single page application frameworks, specifically React.
• Demonstrated experience in building and operating large scale web platforms and microservices.
• Experience in change management and establishing cross-functional collaboration rhythms.
• Ability to provide challenging growth opportunities and constructive feedback to team members.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the Small and Medium Businesses (SMB) software space, such as ERPs or eCommerce systems.
• Strong experience with PHP, Kotlin/Java, MySQL, Kafka, and AWS technologies.
