About the position

The Engineering Manager for Data Privacy and Compliance at Intuit Mailchimp will lead a team of software engineers and data stewards to ensure compliance with customer data regulations. This role involves collaborating with various teams across the organization, including Privacy, Analytics, and Marketing, to define requirements, prioritize tasks, and develop operational processes that support data privacy and governance. The ideal candidate will foster a positive and inclusive team culture while driving productivity and customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and data stewards.
• Participate in and cultivate a culture of direct, compassionate communication.
• Engage in a results-oriented work style and encourage transparent communication.
• Facilitate effective collaboration and teamwork across departments.
• Work with engineering leadership to iterate on the strategic Data Engineering Roadmap.
• Continually prioritize and assess the value proposition for deliverables.
• Support product teams and analysts in governing user behavior clickstream data.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Privacy, Data Science, Engineering, Support, and Marketing teams.

Requirements

• Experience in data privacy and governance principles and practices.
• Strong understanding of Cloud Data Infrastructure (GCP / AWS).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey complex ideas clearly.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams.
• Desire to work in a highly collaborative environment.
