About the position

Intuit is seeking an Engineering Manager to join the Infrastructure Operations team, responsible for leading and supporting a team that enhances the operational capabilities of QuickBooks and Mailchimp. This role involves managing engineers who maintain the network, systems, and internal services for both colocation and cloud infrastructure, while fostering collaboration across various teams to ensure operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineers involved in the operation and maintenance of network, systems, and internal services for colocation and cloud infrastructure.
• Mentor and grow individual contributors within the team.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers across multiple teams and departments.
• Lead the infrastructure organization in the regular care and maintenance of Mailchimp's technology infrastructure.
• Break down silos and foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure a comprehensive approach to strategy and operations.
• Coach infrastructure engineers to define their career paths through growth opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with partners across the business, including Product Development and Program Management.
• Collaborate with Product Development teams to meet their needs in delivering customer-driven software products.
• Lead operational excellence to deliver highly available and scalable infrastructure solutions, focusing on quality, security, and performance metrics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a technical leader in infrastructure operations, network operations, or systems operation teams for a mid to large business.
• 5+ years of hands-on technical experience in an infrastructure team.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in an infrastructure engineering environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing an inclusive team of high-performing engineers across multiple office locations.
• Experience in building and operating large-scale web applications with millions of data points.
• Understanding of ITIL and Agile principles.
