About the position

The Manager 3, Software Engineering (CRM Platform) at Intuit Mailchimp is a leadership role responsible for guiding a team of over 30 engineers and managers in delivering customer-driven software products. The position focuses on building an engineering culture that promotes high performance, scalability, and operational excellence while ensuring that the CRM platform meets the needs of small businesses. The role involves mentoring staff, setting organizational vision and success metrics, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Coach front line engineering managers and leaders and senior engineers to help define their career paths through challenging growth opportunities.
  • Build an engineering culture, practices, and supporting tooling that engineers love, enabling them to deliver high-quality work at high velocity.
  • Become an expert in customer needs and be accountable for critical initiatives and their success metrics to deliver significant customer value and business impact.
  • Drive the next generation of Automations & Campaign Management experiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional product and design leads to prioritize work and identify opportunities for acceleration and innovation.
  • Participate with peers and directors to refine organizational structures to accelerate strategy and priority initiatives.
  • Remove roadblocks from the organization's and team's path.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a technical leader of software engineering teams that have successfully delivered customer-driven software products.
  • 10+ years of hands-on software development experience.
  • Consistent collaboration with cross-functional leaders including product, design, and marketing.
  • Ability to handle challenging, ambiguous, or intense work situations with patience and resilience.
  • Desire to pursue collaboration and value diverse perspectives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in high-scale, highly available systems.
  • Background in operational excellence and applying learnings at scale.
