About the position

The Manager of Business Development Operations 3 at Northrop Grumman will lead the Weapon Systems division's business development efforts, focusing on pipeline data management and coordination of deliverables. This role requires collaboration with various leadership teams and involves managing the division's budget and resources. The position is critical in ensuring the BD team meets its objectives and aligns with broader strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead pipeline data management through the Salesforce tool.
  • Set expectations for division pipeline data fidelity and act as the lead Salesforce administrator for the WS division.
  • Coordinate and deliver sector and corporate data calls for the WS BD team.
  • Manage the division BD team budget and resources, including consultancy agreements and other costs.
  • Plan, organize, and lead the periodic WS ‘Business Strategy Team' (BST) meetings.
  • Keep the WS BD team on time and on target with all recurring meetings, reviews, and deliverables.
  • Align the BD team with other major functional efforts such as the AOP development or Sector Strategy Review.
  • Collaborate with customer engagement leadership to manage all customer meeting data in Salesforce.
  • Take initiative to improve WS BD processes such as BAP alignment, capture excellence, and strategy development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 10 or more years of work experience, preferably with a major defense industry prime contractor.
  • 5 or more years of work experience in business development for a major defense industry prime contractor.
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in business development operations, including pipeline management, event coordination, and budget management.
  • Excellent understanding of the Salesforce tool and ability to teach users.
  • Prior work experience in Northrop Grumman business development, including pipeline development & analysis and Salesforce administration.
  • Ability to build professional networks and manage fast-moving deadlines.
  • Must have an active secret clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Graduate of Northrop Grumman sponsored strategy and capture courses.
  • Prior experience with Weapon Systems products.
  • Prior experience in program management, as a chief-of-staff, or similar role.
  • Active Top Secret clearance.
